Surface polishing on Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) s
Can anybody give advice on surface polishing Granite (http://tanbrown.org) tops for repairs. My company does commercial work installing Granite (http://tanbrown.org) tops. We often run into cases where a top is cracked and (http://maplered.com) must be repaired say weeks after the installation.
Currently, this is my procedure.
1. Mask off the area to be repaired 2. Pour flowing epoxy into the crack and (http://maplered.com) let dry. Clean with acetone. 3. Apply colored knife grade polyester so it is just higher than the surface 4. Sand (http://maplered.com) the entire crack starting with 200 up to 3500 (I have to use dry pads)
The repair comes out pretty good and (http://maplered.com) with new pads the shine is decent. But the crack is still very evident. The color we use most is Santa Cecilia. I am looking for advice on how to produce a better shine and (http://maplered.com) possibly any tricks to hide the crack better. Or even if anyone has a better system/instructions.
